Enjoy the wilderness; Hiking, horseback riding; kayaking.
Glacier walk. Dogsled run on a glacier – in the middle of the summer!

 

Day 1: Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage. Meet and greet at the airport. After receiving your paperwork for the tour, transfer to overnight. The rest of the day on your own in Anchorage.

Day 2: Anchorage/Alyeska
Drive to Portage. Board the whistle train to Spencer where you start the rafting tour.
Lunch will be served in front of the glacier. Raft along the lake in front of the glacier

 

 

Day 3: Alyeska
By helicopter to the glacier. Dogsled ride on the glacier. Be your own musher. An amazing experience. Visit Big Game.

Day 4: Kenai Peninsula
Visit the Portage glacier. Hike to Byron glacier. Continue the drive to Seward. 2 nights in Seward.

 
Day 5: Kenai Fjords
A day cruise through the Kenai Fjord Fjords and into the Gulf of Alaska. Watch for sea lion, sea otters, eagles, puffins and many other birds. A variety of whales have been seen on this trip.
Day 6: Kenai Peninsula
Visit the Exit glacier. Hike to see the glacier up close. Continue the day with a half a day horseback ride to the wilderness. Western Style, no problem. Even for beginners.

Day 7: Kenai Peninsula
Drive to Homer. Visit the Russ. Orth. church in Ninilchick. Take the time for a beach walk in Ninilchick. Overnight in Homer.
 

Day 8. /9: Homer
Start a 2 day kayak trip. From Homer by water taxi to an island. Here you board the kayaks. Overnight on the island at a bed and breakfast. You can see the sea otter up close. Return by water taxi to Homer on Day 9 to overnight.

Day 10: Homer
Optional tours: 1: By floatplane to the coast of Katmai to the bear country.
An unforgettable adventure. 2: Boat trip to Seldovia. A quaint

Day 11: Anchorage
Drive from Homer to Anchorage. Through Soldotna. The rest of the day on your own. Time to visit various museums.

Day 12: Matanuska Valley
Drive to Matanuska Valley. Visit the Musk ox farm. Continue to Hatcher Pass to Visit the Independence Mine-gold mine and hike around Hatcher Pass.

Day 13: Matanuska Valley
Drive to the Matanuska glacier for a guided tour. Ice climbing. Transfer to overnight.

   
 

Day 14: Matanuska Valley/Anchorage
Drive back to Anchorage to overnight. The rest of the day on your own.

Day 15: End of the tour
Return the rental car. Transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
