Rafting Tour / Sightseeing:

Lake Clark National Park / Kenai Peninsula
CHILIKADROTNA RIVER

From Anchorage to Kenai Peninsula and Prince William Sound. For a boat tour to see glaciers and to look for eagles, sea otter, sea lion and whales. We then continue to Talkeetna, a quaint little town known as the gateway for climbing Mt. McKinley. We will enjoy a flightseeing tour to see Mt. Mc Kinley and, weather permitting, with a glacier landing.
We then fly to Lake Clark National Park for our next adventure, a rafting tour in this remote Park Flowing west from the Alaska Range is a river so beautiful and classic, it has been federally designated and protected as a Wild and Scenic River. The Chilikadrotna, known as the 'Chili', offers the floater a wonderful trip descending one of Alaska's most remote and most spectacular waterways. Wildlife abounds as this river corridor flows right through prime moose, caribou and bear country.
For the fishing enthusiast, the Chili offers outstanding fishing for rainbow trout, arctic grayling, and salmon.
We will begin this float at the heart, and what many have called the soul of Lake Clark National Park; the astoundingly beautiful Twin Lakes. After our pilot deposits us on the shore of lower Twin, we will spend the first day and a half exploring this wonderful place. Nestled near brush line, Twin Lakes' country offers hiking second to none in Alaska. The mountains that surround this alpine gem beckon to be explored, and as we let our feet carry us up ridges and over tundra, we'll keep our eyes out for Dall sheep, Caribou, moose and bear.
