Alaska & Yukon by Rental Car - 21 Days:

After an overnight rest in Anchorage, head due north to the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.

Continue on to Alaska's crown jewel, Denali National Park and Preserve. Take a bus tour through the park, home of brown bears, caribou, moose, eagles, fox, Dall sheep, just to name a few. Next, head up to Fairbanks - your jumping off point to a relaxing Chena Hot Springs visit and a tour of the 44-acre Alaskaland Historical Pioneer Park.
Next, take the Top of the World Highway to Dawson City, Canada, the heart of the great Klondike Gold Rush. Visit the Palace Grand Theater, the Jack London Cabin, and Canada's most unique casino, Diamond Tooth Gertie’s Gambling Hall. Yes, gambling is legal in Dawson City!
Drive south to Skagway, Alaska, where you can take an optional railroad trip over the famous gold rush era, White Pass. While in Skagway, enjoy attractions like the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, the Days of '98 Show with Soapy Smith, or a Flight seeing tour.
From Anchorage, head south to the Kenai Peninsula and the fishing port of Seward. While in Seward, take a glacier cruise in the Gulf of Alaska. Drive to one of the Kenai Peninsula’s post popular attractions, Exit Glacier, and walk right up to its face!

Itinerary:
DAY 1: Arrive in Anchorage. Pick up the rental car. Drive about an hour to Matanuska Valley, Alaska’s Farmland. Overnight in cabins.
DAY 2: Visit Hatcher Pass and the historic goldmine. Continue to Talkeetna, a quaint little former mining village which is now a jumping off point for Denali National Park and Mt. McKinley flight seeing tours. Overnight 2 nights.
DAY 3: Flight to see Mt. McKinley and land on a glacier.

DAY 4: Continue to Denali.

DAY 5 & 6: To Fairbanks. Sightseeing around Fairbanks and Overnight..

DAY 7: Travel to Tok Junction with a stop at the “North Pole” and Rika’s historic Roadhouse. Overnight Tok.
DAY 8: Travel Tok to Haines Junction. Great area for hiking and outdoor activities. Overnight.
DAYS 9: Continue in the afternoon to Whitehorse. 2 nights at the Capital City of the Yukon Territory.
DAY 10: Drive to Skagway, Alaska. Visit the quaint little gold rush era town. Visit the museum.
Optional tours:

Drive back to Whitehorse and overnight.
DAY 11 & 12: Drive from Whitehorse to Dawson City. Pan for gold and visit the famous Diamond Tooth Gertie’s. 2 nights Dawson City.
DAY 13: Drive the remote Top of the World Highway and cross back across the border into Alaska. Stop in Chicken and overnight in Tok.
DAY 14: Drive from Tok to over Thompson Pass and past Bridal Veil Falls to Valdez. Overnight.
DAY 15: Travel by ferry through the Prince William Sound to Whittier. Then drive onto the Kenai Peninsula and continue to Moose Pass. Overnight 2 nights.
DAY 16: Travel to Seward for a day tour by boat through Kenai Fjords National Park and the Gulf of Alaska. Sea lions, sea otters, puffins and eagles can be seen on this tour. Lunch will be served on board. Drive back to Moose Pass. Overnight.
DAY 17: Drive on to Homer. Along the way, stop in the small town of Ninilchik to see the Russian Orthodox Church. 3 nights in Homer.
DAY 18 & 19:
Optional tours available:

DAY 20: Drive back through Soldotna and continue to Girdwood, Alyeska. Alaska’s premier ski area. Overnight.
DAY 21:
Optional tours:

DAY 22: Drive back to Anchorage. Return car. Fly home or continue with another Euro Alaska - Tours package.
